Technical Overview
The Google Form for Annual Employee Satisfaction Survey collects responses into a Google Sheet. This sheet is automatically linked to Google Colab, where data processing occurs through Python script. Once responses are gathered, Google Colab runs the script and generates pre-processed sheets for each section of the survey. These pre-processed data sheets are then connected to Tableau, enabling the visualization of the information. This streamlined process ensures that decision-makers have timely access to insights derived from employee feedback, facilitating informed decision-making.
The Dynamic Dashboards
The visual dashboard provides insights into key aspects of employee experience. It is organized into six sections Each statement is assessed using an augmented scale that measures the frequency of incidents. All responses are then translated into a numerical format, where 1 represents the lowest degree of effectiveness and 5 signifies the highest level concerning the satisfaction and engagement.
1. Values and Norms
This section includes statements on organizational awareness, inclusion, teamwork, and respect.
2. Compensation and Benefits
Employees rate their perceptions of fairness, clarity, and adequacy of compensation and benefits, alongside questions about overall satisfaction and competitiveness compared to similar roles.
3. Recognition and Motivation
This block assesses satisfaction with roles, opportunities for contribution, recognition, and flexibility in work schedules. Open-ended questions invite suggestions for improvement.
4. Satisfaction, Engagement, Professional Development
Employees evaluate the organization's investment in their growth, availability of learning opportunities, and the effectiveness of feedback processes.
5. Equity and Inclusion
Employees rate statements on fairness, support for diverse perspectives, and comfort in reporting inappropriate conduct.
6. Demographics, Net Promoter Score (NPS), Future Outlook
The final block collects information on gender identity, disability status, and other demographic factors to provide context for the responses. A question about recommending the company helps gauge employee loyalty and satisfaction, informing areas for improvement. This section includes questions about employees' intentions to remain with the organization and the identification of high-performing colleagues for potential promotions.
